TriZetto Introduces New Application for Online Enrollment of Health Plan Members

HealthNow New York, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City
to Use HealthWeb® eEnrollTM During 2002 "Open-Enrollment" Season

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – August 20, 2002 – The TriZetto(R) Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:TZIX) today announced the availability of eEnroll, a new application for its HealthWeb Internet platform. eEnroll streamlines and automates the process of enrolling new health plan members, resulting in fewer errors, quicker turnaround, and reduced administrative costs. The application is already being implemented for TriZetto customers, including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City and HealthNow New York Inc., who plan to use it during this fall's open-enrollment season.

"Many employers are insisting that health plans automate the enrollment process," said Tony Bellomo, president of TriZetto's software unit. "In response, TriZetto partnered with several of its health plan customers to design a product that uses the Internet to enroll members quickly and easily, 24 hours a day."

eEnroll provides advanced enrollment capabilities, including the ability for new members to enter enrollment information online and for employers to review the information before it is processed in a health plan's administrative system. eEnroll is integrated with Facets(R), TriZetto's administrative software for payers, and will be integrated with other TriZetto applications (QicLink(TM) and GroupFacts(R)) as well as third-party vendor systems, based on customer demand. It can be purchased on a licensed basis or hosted by TriZetto in one of the company's data centers.

eEnroll is the first in a suite of forthcoming applications that expand HealthWeb's capabilities. HealthWeb allows health plans to open their back-end systems to the Internet and offer real-time self-service to their members, providers, employers and brokers. With 30 payer customers, representing 25 million members, HealthWeb is the most widely used Internet platform among healthcare payers, including Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.
